A fresh newspaper controversy erupted this week over the Scott Adams‘ syndicated comic strip Dilbert, after the May 14th strip made fun of far-left “PC” climate-science advocates.
In the strip, a scientific consultant claims that man-made global warming is about to cause a worldwide economic and humanitarian catastrophe.
When Dilbert asks why he should trust economic models that have never been shown to work, he is immediately “outed” as a science denier.
The point of the punch line is that Dilbert is labeled a “denier” for asking a reasonable question. But liberals reacted as if science itself was under attack in the comic strip.
The liberal blog “Debunking Denialism” published an essay slinging mud at the cartoonist, and labeling Dilbert as strictly anti-science. But it didn’t stop there.
Another activist posted to the blog thread, attempting to psycho-analyze fans of Dilbert who laughed at Sunday’s comic as being “like Dylann Roof,” a mass murderer of black Christians.
We promise, we don’t make this stuff up.
