Bill Paxton, best known to the world as Brock Lovett, died on Saturday at the age of 61 at his home after complications from surgery.

The family says, “It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery.” The family accurately describes his “illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and flimmaker.” The family adds, “Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable.”
Besides film work, Paxton had a lead role in a 5 seasons TV series “Big Love” alongside recurring roles in several other shows including the Marvel’s Agent of Shield. His final film, The Circle, a Sci-fi thriller opens in April. Paxton was certainly a definitive actor whose legacy will live on long after his death.
