When the Public Theatre decided to do Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar with a “Trump-style” Caesar being assassinated, the Haters thought that everyone would cheer them on. But the reality is that businesses are pulling their sponsorship saying that this kind of statement about assassinating the President is wrong and does not fit in with their values.
Delta Airlines has pulled their money and they are not the only major company to do so. It is entirely possible that the heads of these companies think that this kind of show is acceptable, but they are all too aware that their customers do not approve. The MSM’s main tool of indoctrination is to make individuals who support Trump or his policies to feel as though they are in a tiny minority, but in fact, we are the vast majority.
People support Trump, and companies know this. They have made a calculated business decision on which end of the market they can most afford to lose…And on this occasion, it was the haters, because they are, at the end of the day, a tiny, but very loud, minority.
As reported in the Daily Caller:
“No matter what your political stance may be, the graphic staging of Julius Caesar at this summer’s Free Shakespeare in the Park does not reflect Delta Air Lines’ values,” the airline company said in a statement. “Their artistic and creative direction crossed the line on the standards of good taste.”
Bank of America also voiced its disapproval and claimed it never would have sponsored it in the first place if it knew what the theater company planned to do.
“The Public Theater chose to present Julius Caesar in such a way that was intended to provoke and offend,” the bank said in a tweet. “Had this intention been made known to us, we would have decided not to sponsor it.”
