Conservative Ben Shapiro won a decisive victory against “Clock Boy” Ahmed Mohammed.
If you recall, Mohammed was the Texas student who brought a clock into school that resembled a bomb; who was later invited to the White House by Barack Obama.
Shapiro was sued for defamation.
On Thursday afternoon a Texas Judge dismissed a lawsuit filed against Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro by Mohammed Mohammed, the father of “clock boy” Ahmed Mohammed.
Claiming defamation, Mohammed filed the lawsuit in October 2015 after Shapiro made an appearance on The Kelly File questioning Ahmed’s story and motives surrounding a clock he brought to school that looked like a bomb. Ahmed was detained by police for the “clock” and was suspended. His family, who has ties to foreign regimes sponsoring terrorism, and CAIR promptly accused the school of Islamophobia and racial profiling.

“This is an excellent day for free speech,” Shapiro told his website, the Daily Wire. “Using law as warfare is perhaps the most disgusting tactic of politically correct activists across the country, and we couldn’t be more excited to stand up against such frivolous use of our court system.”
The Mohammed family filed its lawsuits, including one against the Texas School District where he attended school, in August 2016. The cases, which legal experts have described as poorly-argued, claimed the Mohammeds were defamed and had their civil rights violated.
The family has relocated to Qatar, but not before accepting an invitation from President Obama to attend a science fair at the White House. “Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to like science. It’s what makes America great,” the former president wrote on Twitter.
Shapiro stated the following, “This is an excellent day for free speech.”
