Robert Mueller was appointed Special Counsel to investigate a crime that didn’t exist. It is not illegal for a candidate to talk with a foreign entity about an election. It might be wrong, unethical, and sneaky. But it’s not illegal.
None of that even matters because President Trump didn’t do any of that. Neither did his staff, nor his family.
So what’s the deal?
According to reports, not only is Mueller a friend of former FBI Director James Comey, but he had also interviewed for the Attorney General position.
Is there some sort of revenge going on in the conduct of the investigation into allegations of Russian collusion and obstruction?
Mueller’s team is rife with Hillary Clinton hacks and flunkies, including a lawyer the Clintons had hired for the Clinton Foundation.
It’s difficult to take any claim they may have as to their integrity or objectivity seriously.
Now that there is no evidence of any crime being committed, Mueller and his staff have the legal authority to dig into the President and his family’s personal business. In doing so, are they politically weaponizing information that is both personal and confidential?
Mueller and his team are examining President Trump’s business dealings and tax returns from years ago. How could any of that have any bearing on the election last November?
Clash Daily reports:
Is their real goal to uncover the truth? Or is it to undermine the duly-elected President?
There were questions about the Independent Investigation right from the beginning:
Comey admitted his specific intent of leaking of his memo (legally dubious in its own right) was to trigger this investigation (and previous ones on both sides have had a habit of digging WAY past their established mandate).
Mueller was a personal friend of Comey.
