Brandy Rusher, a former contestant on “America’s Next Top Model” (ANTM) is in critical condition after a shootout Sunday outside her Houston apartment. Her brother and one other man was killed, say authorities.
The 32-year-old reality TV star is in critical condition. But, doctors say her condition is stable.
According to Thomas Gilliland, spokesman for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the violent gunfire was sparked by a feud. Along with the two men that were killed, four people were also wounded, Gilliland said. Authorities chose not to identify the other deceased or injured victims.
Sunday night, three unknown suspects shot towards Brandy Rusher’s Houston apartment from their car. They were parked in the Haverstock Hill apartments parking lot. Two men and another woman (all unidentified by police) remain in critical but stable condition.
According to ABC 13, the suspects were said to be heavy set black men in their early 30s.
A manhunt for the suspects is currently underway.
Rusher was a contestant on “America’s Next Top Model” in 2005 — but she was booted from the show in the third episode of the season with host Tyra Banks noting Rusher’s “bad attitude” would hurt her modeling career.
In 2010, Rushner was taken into custody and charged with a misdemeanor after she became involved in an altercation when nearby residents cited noise disturbances coming from inside her apartment.
The reality diva reportedly pushed and shoved a police officer at the scene, according to the news station.
