In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday night, 64- year old Tim Allen opened up and discussed what it is like to be a Conservative actor in Hollywood in the year 2017.
He said that he has to be ‘real careful‘ when talking about President Donald Trump, otherwise he is risking getting beaten up. He has to watch what he says in Hollywood, because there is trouble if “you don’t believe what everybody believes.”
He made a Hitler analogy, much like the one liberals are currently making about President Trump, only his is in reference to Hollywood critics who have banded together in their hatred for Trump and attack you if you do not do the same. Allen said that it “is like 30’s Germany” and that there is a lot of pressure to conform to the liberal point of view.
From Young Conservatives:
In an interview with Megyn Kelly after the election, Allen called out anti-Trump celebrities in Hollywood for being “hypocritical” during the 2016 campaign.
“What I find odd in Hollywood is that they didn’t like Trump because he was a bully,” Allen told Kelly. “But if you had any kind of inkling that you were for Trump, you got bullied for doing that. And it gets a little bit hypocritical to me.”
When Kimmel asked him what was he most concerned about, Allen said he was most concerned about issues of surveillance, saying that if people saw someone driving by with a camera pointed at their house, they’d be concerned but that Google was taking pictures of your house all the time and people aren’t concerned about it. He also raised questions that through such things as Amazon, that too much is known about us, through relational databases, certainly a valid privacy concern. Good for Tim Allen for calling out Hollywood on their hypocrisy.
