A former Kansas bail bondsman was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of killing his 7-year-old son and feeding the child’s remains to pigs.
Michael Jones, 46, will not be eligible for parole for at least 25 years according to a report from ABC News.
Jones was unable to make eye contact with his family as they addressed the judge, describing the horrific crime.
You do not deserve a second chance, Keiona Doctor, the late boy’s 21-year-old sister, told Michael Jones, who declined the judge’s offer to make a statement. You do not deserve sunlight as a free man.
The boy’s stepmother, Heather Jones had earlier pleaded guilty to the same crime and is serving a life sentence. In addition to killing the boy, both were accused of long abusing the poor child.
During the hearing, a police officer confirmed that “what was left of (Adrian’s body) was fed to his pigs.”
