This story out of Canada will break your heart.
According to the story in the Toronto Sun, two teenagers broke into the home of Jean Knox, 98, and trashed her home.
The hoodlums trashed the small home where Mrs. Knox has lived for 70 years. They smashed eggs on the floors, smeared peanut butter and ketchup on the walls of every room.
Mrs. Knox, who is deaf and uses a wheelchair to get around, feared for her life as she huddled in her bed while the two teenagers ransacked her tidy home. When the two found the 98-year-old women hiding under the covers of her bed, they poured syrup over her in a final act of humiliation.
Mrs. Knox spoke to reporters after the incident.
I have been devastated by these two young men. I am a 98-year-old polio survivor and almost completely deaf. Yet I was still able to enjoy living in my home.
The case is still pending an outcome in a Canadian court.
