President Trump’s proposed wall on the Mexican border will kick off building operations in the San Diego community of Otay Mesa, U.S. Customs and Border Protection confirmed Monday. 20 chosen bidders will submit prototype models of their version of the wall.
But the project isn’t getting any funding from Washington right now, thanks to Paul Ryan‘s apathetic – or purposeful – move to omit the border wall from this year’s budget.
Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd ripped into Ryan on Fox Business this morning, accusing the Speaker of the House of bowing to the establishment yet again.
“President Trump promised he was going to secure the border and part of securing the border is putting in place the proper technology and resources,” said Judd. “And a border wall in strategic locations is one of those things that must get done.”
