Paul Gren was the owner of the Tow Truck Company in Orlando, Florida.
Over the years, Gren has made many enemies due to his harsh towing policies.
Mr. Gren recently towed a car belonging to Tremain Polk, 35 and put it in his impound yard awaiting payment of the towing fees. However, instead of paying, Polk shot and killed Gren in the towing yard.
Polk has been arrested on first-degree murder charges and is awaiting trial.
Over the years, Gren received scores of complaints from angry drivers who accused him of predatory towing, which led the city of Orlando to revise its towing regulations in 2008.
He was accused of booting vehicles that still had people inside, once even booting a Coca-Cola truck that was making a delivery. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Gren was ruthless when it came to towing.
