A Tennessee woman was arrested after reportedly stalking Republican Congressman David Kustoff on the roadway – and then threatening him.
Police say Wendi Wright followed Kustoff’s car down Highway 45 on Monday afternoon.
Inside the car were the Congressman and aide Marianne Dunavant. Wright reportedly followed the car after it left a town hall forum at UT Martin.
When Kustoff pulled into a driveway seeking safety, Wright reportedly ran to the car and screamed while banging on the window and reaching in.
She then blocked the car from pulling out until police were called. When they arrived, she tried to run away.
Wright is charged with felony reckless endangerment.
