Despite denials that he would be seeking a 2020 presidential bid, Mark Zuckerberg (of Facebook fame) has not only recently finished a tour of the country, but also this Thursday, released what many are describing as a political manifesto. The social media magnate set out ideas that embrace the globalist community and the role that he and his company will play. As reported in the Daily Caller:
“History is the story of how we’ve learned to come together in ever greater numbers — from tribes to cities to nations. At each step, we built social infrastructure like communities, media and governments to empower us to achieve things we couldn’t on our own,”
“Today we are close to taking our next step. Our greatest opportunities are now global — like spreading prosperity and freedom, promoting peace and understanding, lifting people out of poverty, and accelerating science.”
He also said that:
“Progress now requires humanity coming together not just as cities or nations, but also as a global community.”
The fact that Zuckerberg’s chosen president would have been Hillary Clinton, herself an avowed Globalist, means that many outside of the MSM are particularly unsurprised that his “manifesto” shares a lot of the same concepts she espoused on the campaign trail. The 2016 Democrat platform reads almost like and exact copy:
“…the social media giant could take to help communities become more “supportive,” “safe,” “informed,” “civically-engaged,” and “inclusive.”
Perhaps more worrying, is that he called for increased tools for administrators of Facebook groups to help with “burying sensationalist content on the newsfeed”. Mark Zuckerberg is well-financed, well-known and has the right connections to be the next Democrat candidate. The Globalist agenda appears to have found its new star.
