Fox News has been slipping behind CNN and MSNBC in ratings since firing prime-time anchor Bill O’ Reilly.
Though its news channel retains the biggest viewing total of any cable news network, the organization has seen brighter days.
Appearing as a guest on The Blaze, O’ Reilly was asked his opinion on FNC’s struggles.
Perhaps applying Ockham’s Razor, the former Fox host gave the simplest explanation he could think of.
“Whenever you lose a key person in any industry, competitive industry, sports, media, you better have a plan,” said O’Reilly.
“It doesn’t look like Fox News has a plan.”
