Reports in the U.S. media that Ivanka Trump was booed and jeered in Germany are completely false, according to Bild, a well-respected German newspaper.
Furthermore, the paper reports that the German public and Germany’s elected officials were surprised and impressed by President Trump‘s daughter.
“Many people were surprised by Ivanka Trump’s performance in Berlin. Contrary to the stereotype, the daughter of the President made a sophisticated and level-headed impression at the panel” with Chancellor Angela Merkel, the paper reads.
“The glamorous White House ambassador also cleverly handled a controversial issue,” the story continues.
That is no doubt a reference to Ivanka’s steadfast defense of her father’s character and relationships with women.
Blid reports that there was merely a murmur in the crowd as the audience was taken aback by Ivanka’s boldness and stage presence as she praised her embattled father. “U.S. media, however, are focusing on something else: they claim that Ivanka was booed and sneered at,” says the paper, while debunking that claim as untrue.
