Members of The Trump Camp are furious about a real post with a fake headline. Wait. Huh?
That’s right. Yahoo! Finance published a news story about… well, that’s not really the point. The point is… someone got their hands on a legitimate news story, added a highly offensive title to it, and somehow pawned it off as a Yahoo! creation.
Here’s what happened…
The fake headline read:
“Donald Trump fucked his daughter in the ass while firing a gun and screaming the n-word.”
There was no way for people to tell that the post wasn’t from Yahoo! Finance when it went viral om Facebook. One Facebook user wondered if someone at Yahoo! has been fired.
Because the headline is so offensive, Trump supporters are appalled. But, the post was shared numerous times before most people noticed that the title actually linked to a legitimate news story on Yahoo! finance.
Although the real story is about The President and his daughter, there’s nothing inappropriate about it.
The actual link goes to the Yahoo Finance website, where the headline is “What Donald Trump taught his daughter Ivanka about being an inspiring leader.”
The article, which first appeared on Business Insider in March 2016, makes no mention of Donald Trump doing anything to his daughter other than teaching her “a tremendous amount about how to be an inspiring leader.”
