Breaking – The special election for Georgia’s Tom Price-vacated House seat will be a close call, with Fulton County experiencing technical problems that could delay the final result for days.
However, it appears likely that Jon Ossoff, a fraudulent non-citizen of Georgia who Democrats are using as a symbol of Trump resistance, will finish below 50% and head to a 1-on-1 runoff with Republican Karen Handel.
Democrats are already spinning the night as a win for the party. But as columnist Erick Erickson of The Resurgent points out, Georgia’s District 6 election included a gigantic list of Republicans, while Democrats rallied around their lone candidate.
Meanwhile, Republicans can’t claim to be free of worry in the runoff, due to Handel’s financing and messaging problems.
The very-conservative Handel has been skeptical of President Trump, but is willing to work with him.
Turnout was high for the special election, leading some pundits to say that voters’ enthusiasm is the real story on Wednesday morning.
