When a man’s ex-wife and best friend tried to comfort him in his dying moments, she didn’t talk about how she cared for him, she didn’t talk about feeling, she decided to make up the lie that would make him happiest: That President Donald Trump had been impeached.
Hav those on the left really gone so far out of the realms of normalcy that this is now what makes their last moments on Earth more bearable. Both parties concerned had spent months railing against the new President because their preferred candidate didn’t win
But perhaps the worst part of all this is that the Washington Post considered it a “heartwarming story”. It isn’t. It is a sad indictment that people of a certain political persuasion are losing their grip on what is important in life. They are missing the bigger picture and making their own lives poorer because of it.
As reported in the Daily Caller:
When Michael Elliott died, the last voice he heard was that of his ex-wife, his best friend.
In a short phone conversation moments before Elliott took his last breath, she told him what he wanted to hear.
“I told him that everything’s going to be all right,” Teresa Elliott told The Washington Post. “And Donald Trump has been impeached.”
Then he died, believing that to be so.
Such a sad story that a person’s life can be consumed by things that are not the people closest to you. The comfort he should have had was from the ex-wife letting him know that he was loved. Not this. Ver, very sad.
