Susan Rice has denied a request to testify for a Senate judiciary subcommittee on Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential election, according to the Associated Press.
Lindsey Graham is reportedly the senator who Rice told no.
Barack Obama‘s former national security adviser is desperate to avoid the stand, thanks to revelations in recent months that the Obama Administration may have spied on President-elect Donald Trump and his family and employees.
The spying is alleged to have taken place before and after the November election.
Rice is suspected of “unmasking” several Trump associate names illegally, for political purposes, and recently gave conflicting answers to questions about the incident before attempting to disappear off the face of the Earth.
And what reason did Rice give for refusing a hearing? Her lawyers told CNN that she turned down the request to testify because a Democrat did not co-sign the letter with Graham.
