In a memorable quote re-created in the classic movie Patton, United States General George S. Patton remarked that “compared to war, all other forms of human endeavor shrink to insignificance.”
The great military leader’s words have never rang more true.
24 hours ago, the debate in America still waged over who had legitimately won the 2016 Presidential election, whether Russian spies and hackers had played a role, and whether former President Obama and his cronies had spied on the new Commander-in-Chief using electronic surveillance.
But after a horrid chemical weapons attack waged by Syrian President Assad against his own people, Republicans and many Democrats immediately united behind the new POTUS.
President Trump ordered a devastatingly effective Tomahawk missile strike which demolished the base from which Assad’s evil attack was launched. Upon learning the news, even his worst enemies in Congress have expressed support.
The pettiness of the left’s attacks on Trump, and the equally-vicious Republican counterattacks, seem just as insignificant as General Patton would have predicted.
