Democratic National Committee chairman Tom Perez has doubled-down on his recent statements that “Republicans don’t give a s*** about people” and “Donald Trump did not win the election” in a sickening new interview on MSNBC.
When Perez appeared on the network’s political talk-show “Morning Joe” on Tuesday morning, analyst Willie Geist stepped in to ask a fair, pointed question. Geist reminded Perez that during the 2016 campaign, President Trump was often criticized by Democrats as having used “divisive” rhetoric that set a bad example for children.
Asked if he felt his blanket-condemnation of all Republicans fell in the same category, and if he regrets it, Perez simply turned up his nose and said no.
Hundreds of millions of Americans are either members of the Republican Party or tend to vote Republican. Perez’s hatred and bigotry toward fellow citizens is similar to Hillary Clinton’s “deplorables” rhetoric to private donors in 2016, when she infamously described Trump supporters as if they were objects.
