Claire McKaskill (R-MO) recently did something relatively decent for voters, introducing a bill to help some families get the same health insurance options that pampered politicians from the Heartland get.
But like a Democrat, she just couldn’t wait to screw it up with something outrageous and stupid.
McKaskill is now blaming the failure of Obamacare, signed into law by Democrats almost a decade ago, on the Trump Administration.
Her logic is that removing the individual mandate (an unconstitutional measure in the 1st place) has caused insurers to become timid.
“Once this administration said they weren’t going to pay the risk-sharing costs that were supposed to be paid by the government” the insurance companies began backing out, McKaskill is quoted by CBS News.
Hmm. Hold on a second, so she’s saying Obamacare is really just a handout to medical insurance giants, who are likely to abandon ship if the gravy train ever threatens to dry up? Because that’s what conservatives have been saying for 8 years.
