Mainstream media has been no friend to President Donald Trump and his administration. They have spent the last year trying to keep him out of office and when that didn’t work, they were left with a lot of animosity and resentment. A new study analyzed the air time of coverage of President Trump on NBC News and CBS Evening News and Fox News Special Report and came to the conclusion and only 3% of the reports about President Trump that aired on CBS and NBC were positive and 43% were distinctly negative. Approximately 54% were neutral. Fox News was marginally better with 25% negative, 12% postive and 63% neutral. Coverage like this that intentionally airs the President in a negative light hinders the nation from becoming united. Major media should release news that is mostly neutral and let the people decide for themselves.
This is based on a new analysis by Media Tenor, an international, independent media research firm. Trained analysts examined 370 news stories about Donald Trump on the “NBC Nightly News,” “CBS Evening News” and Fox News “Special Report” between Jan. 20 and Feb. 17…Only 3 percent of the reports about Trump that aired on NBC and CBS were positive, while 43 percent were negative and 54 percent were neutral. On “Special Report,” the Fox News program that most closely resembles the evening network news, 25 percent of the reports about Trump were negative, compared with 12 percent positive and the remainder neutral.
