Oregon State University has one the top college baseball teams in the country.
OSU is the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament after compiling one of the best records in college baseball history.
The Beavers head into the NCAA Baseball World Series with a record of 52-4 for the season.
Eleven of those wins have been due to the pitching of Luke Heimlich who has compiled a remarkable 11-1 record with an ERA of just 0.76. Heimlich is considered a top prospect in the upcoming major league draft.
But, Heimlich record has been marred by the recent revelation that he has been a registered sex offender in Oregon for the past five years.
According to Oregon Live, Heimlich pleaded guilty to a charge of sexually molesting a 6-year-old girl while he was in high school.
So far, Oregon State University has not removed Heimlich from the team, although the University did confirm that they were not aware of Heimlich’s conviction.
