Bestherbs Coffee LLC has issued a recall for all packages of New of Kopi Jantan Tradisional Natural Herbs Coffee. The coffee was found to contain drugs that could be harmful. One such active ingredient is desmethyl carbodenafil, an erectile dysfunction drug similar to Viagra.
Note: Viagra cannot be legally purchased in the United States without a prescription.
Consuming coffee that contains desmethyl carbodenafil can interfere with nitrates taken as heart medication. This could lead to a fatal drop in blood pressure.
The coffee maker also failed to disclose the presence of milk, an FDA requirement.
Milk is not listed on the product’s active ingredient list and is not mentioned anywhere at all on the package. Consumers who have milk allergies and use the product are at risk.
Note: New of Kopi coffee is marketed as a male-enhancement supplement.
