CNN man, Jim Acosta, has finally gone off the rails. He has said that his job is “to challenge the administration on the issues”...It’s not. That is the job of the Democrats. His job is to report what each side is doing. Or is he admitting that CNN works directly for the DNC? Since when was a reporter’s opinion on a political issue more important than those who were democratically elected to represent us?
In a brutal put-down of the CNN stooge, White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, pointed out that his behavior is just “a spectacle”. And that Acosta is being rude and belligerent (to other news reporters, too) because he is driven by “click bait”.
Acosta doesn’t care about the quality or truthfulness of his statements, he just cares how many people watch him on YouTube. He is one of the Prime examples of why CNN is losing viewers.
As reported in the Daily Caller:
Sean Spicer didn’t hold back his criticism of the senior White House correspondent, accusing him of “hurting the profession” of journalism. “If Jim Acosta reported on Jim Acosta the way he reports on us, he’d say he hasn’t been very honest,” Spicer said. “I think he’s gone well beyond the role of reporter and steered into the role of advocate.”
During one off-camera press briefing, Acosta repeatedly interrupted Spicer and other journalists but then complained on-air after the briefing that CNN was not allowed to ask questions of Spicer.
“He’s the prime example of a [reporter in a] competitive, YouTube, click-driven industry,” Spicer continued. “He’s recognized that if you make a spectacle on the air then you’ll get more airtime and more clicks. . . . If I were a mainstream, veteran reporter, I’d be advocating for him to knock it off.”
