CNN‘s self-proclaimed “war” on President Trump – and climate-change skepticism – is not going very well.
This afternoon, indignant liberal fake news anchor Jake Tapper introduced a segment welcoming James Eskridge, Mayor of Virginia’s Tangier Island.
After the Clinton News Network ran a pro-global warming story in which the town was said to be “sinking” and “vanishing from existence” due to aerosol hair spray and other man-made WMDs, President Trump called Eskridge personally to assure him that Tangier Island isn’t going anywhere.
In the interview, Tapper immediately raised the issue of climate change and rising ocean levels. But politely, Mayor Eskridge reported that soil erosion is the island’s main problem, and that the water level is rising so slowly that it won’t be an issue.
Hilariously, President Trump offered to help “build a wall” around the island town to prevent erosion, the Mayor said.
Like the smarmy Clintonian coward he is, Tapper passive-aggressively insulted Eskridge several times in response…but got around to asking if a wall will actually prevent erosion.
“Yes, it will. We have a partial one on the West beach and it cleared everything right up,” said the Mayor.
Tapper said goodbye to Eskridge, then ended the segment by stating to the audience that 98% of scientists believe climate change is real. He said nothing about the good news for Tangier Island.
