For three Pennsylvania kids, playing a game of hide-and-seek swiftly shifted from fun to terrifying. The children were chased through their local woods by two men carrying shotguns, and wearing SCARY CLOWN COSTUMES.
According to 8-year-old Dylan Milkowski, he and two friends were outside playing hide-and-go-seek. They saw two men carry weapons, dressed in clown suits. The West Mifflin boy told KDKA:
“They had pipes and they had shotguns.”
“They were chasing us.”
Michael Milkowski, Dylan’s father, said he could hear the boys screaming as they came running inside the house. The incident happened at about 4:15 PM on Saturday.
The father says he didn’t believe they were actually being chased by scary clowns at first. But, then he stepped outside to further investigate. That’s when he saw two masked men in clown costumes running up a hill nearby.
“I just said ‘hey what are you doing over here’ and they just kept running and everything,” Milkowski told the station.
Police from West Mifflin and Pittsburgh searched the wooded area for two hours but didn’t find any trace of the spooky clowns.
The West Mifflin incident sounds eerily similar to last year’s clown sightings across the U.S., where there were reports of the costumed creepers chasing children or lurking on street corners. The sightings happened in New York, New Jersey, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
In September, a woman who only wanted to be identified as Alyssa, told ABC 10 that she called police after she spotted a clown outside the laundry room of her apartment complex in Clifton Park, New York.
That same month, residents of a small town in New Jersey reported four clown sightings in the span of two days.
