The Blaze hasn’t exactly been blazing.
The conservative news network was forced to lay off at least 40 employees last year, but founder Glenn Beck thinks he knows a possible move that could re-establish the brand’s notoriety.
Beck said during his radio broadcast on Friday that he would like former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly to join The Blaze.
When a guest phoned in to talk about President Trump’s interview with Lester Holt on Thursday, the caller and host agreed that Beck seemed more “welcoming” during his interview with O’Reilly than Holt had seemed with Trump.
Beck continued by saying he would love to have O’Reilly as part of The Blaze family, but regretfully concluded that he couldn’t offer a salary anything like Fox News could pay.
“I’ll pay him in sandwiches,” said Beck.
