Reuters reported today that U.S. officials are investigating whether Russia was directly involved in the chemical weapons attack in Syria which led to Thursday’s air strikes.
Senior military officials have been quoted as denouncing Russia’s failure to control the Syrian government’s use of chemicals in battle. Also, there is potential evidence of a drone belonging to Russia having been seen hovering over the site of the chemical weapons attack after it began on Tuesday.
Horrifyingly, the drone later reappeared and bombed a hospital where victims of the attack where being treated, officials say. Some investigators believe the hospital attack may have been an attempt to cover up evidence of the gassing.
Meanwhile, U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley has been standing tall for America and human rights, telling the U.N. Security Council that the United States is “prepared to do more” to protect their interests if Assad continues using weapons of mass destruction.
