Baltimore’s most violent gang, the MS-13, has been linked to a number of kidnappings which may have likely resulted in murder. Reports from authorities indicate that the gang could be recruiting children as young as 11-years-old!
The gang had been dismantled a decade ago when most of its members were imprisoned. However, the spate of attacks reveals a probable resurgence. A fifteen-year-old Damaris Reyes from Gaithersburg is a notable victim who fell prey to MS-13. She was eventually killed and details of her murder captured in a video described by Virginia’s Fairfax County Police Chief as “horrific”
Baltimore’s Police spokesman T.J Smith was quick to deny claims connecting the incident to other similar happenings at the Baltimore-Washington region.
CBS Baltimore report:
“We don’t have any belief that this is connected to some of the other cases that we have seen locally in this Baltimore-Washington region,” says Baltimore City Police spokesperson T.J. Smith.
Last year, six murder cases were linked to the gang in Montgomery alone.
