In what appears to be the sanity returning to the Democrat party, Chuck Schumer has finally realised that their problems do not come from outside influences like the Comey investigation or Russian collusion, but from themselves.
The Dems are getting ready to launch their re-branding with a new slogan and new policies, and they have (for once) done the right thing in admitting that their unpopularity s down to them.
It is good for Democracy and Freedoms when we have two strong parties, it creates debate and consideration. They are still a long long way from being anywhere near electable, but realising that they themselves are the problem is a good first step.
As reported in the Daily Caller:
“When you lose to somebody who has 40 percent popularity, you don’t blame other things – Comey, Russia – you blame yourself,” Schumer told The Washington Post Saturday.
Schumer, previewing the Democratic Party’s campaign message heading into 2018, admitted that people are not sure what the party stands for.
“So what did we do wrong? People didn’t know what we stood for, just that we were against Trump. And still believe that,” Schumer explained. The Democratic Party’s plan for 2018 is titled, “A Better Deal” and is meant to contrast the president’s economic message.
