Two incredible Bills that were part of Trump’s campaign platform have been voted through the House. The first is “Kate’s Law” which asks that MUCH harsher penalties are inflicted on those who have already been deported and return to the US. The second seeks to cut Federal money for places that refuse to cooperate with ICE: namely Sanctuary Cities.
These bills still have to go to the Senate, but they passed the House with clear majorities, so the outcome looks positive. It’s about time hat people realized that the US government’s job is to protect the citizens of the US. Of the 66,000 illegal aliens deported so far this year, 44,000 were active criminals. That’s 44,000 people who will no longer be clogging up our prison system, and 44,000 less active criminals to damage communities.
The fact that so many Democrats voted against these laws shows us where their loyalty really lies. America First is not just a campaign slogan, it is the very mandate that elected representatives swear to.
As reported in the Young Conservatives:
One bill passed by the House would deny federal grants to sanctuary cities and another, Kate’s Law, would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States.
Kate’s Law, which would increase the penalties for deported aliens who try to return to the United States and caught, passed with a vote of 257 to 157, with one Republican voting no and 24 Democrats voting yes.
The second bill, “No Sanctuary for Criminals Act,” cuts federal grants to states and “sanctuary cities” that refuse to help law enforcement in with their immigration enforcement activities. That passed, 228-195 with three Democrats voting yes and seven Republicans voting no.
