The Black Lives Matter group in The William & Mary College have called out the head of the college for his White Supremacy and Patriarchal behavior after he asked them to make requests instead of demands. In what surely shows that the BLM group is in no way ready for any position of power or responsibility.
After making a series of demands that included Diversity courses, an African Studies Department and the Hiring of more Black Staff, the head of the college, President Revely responded with “I don’t deal in demands”. “I don’t make demands and I don’t expect to receive demands from people. I love to get suggestions, recommendations, strong arguments.” This however, proved too much for the BLM group.
As reported by the Daily Caller:
The student activists weren’t pleased.
“This is what being censored looks like,” meeting attendee Erica West, a student coordinator at W&M’s Center for Student Diversity, said on Facebook after the meeting. “This is what white supremacy looks like. This is what patriarchy looks like. This is what condescension looks like. This is what being told ‘you, your issues and your life don’t matter’ looks like. THIS is why we say #BlackLivesMatter.”
