SNL’s Leslie Jones has caused uproar after saying that “If I see another 45-year-old white woman from Williamsburg saying ‘black lives matter,’ I’m going to punch you in the mouth,”. Whilst many have decried the comments as racist, there are still some in the Blogosphere willing to support Jones’ comments.
As reported in the Daily Caller:
Jones didn’t seem to care about the outrage, saying that she just wants to make people laugh.
The comments were made during one of Leslie Jones’ stand-up comedy routines. The audience apparently suffered some mixed reactions. Social Media commentators have been quick to condemn the remarks as “racist and bigoted”.
Jones has defended her comments:
“Go ahead and be mad. Which is sad cause you could be laughing. We have enough sadness and in the world. I’m gonna laugh and make people laugh,” Jones said in a tweet.
Jones was the comedienne who accused Milo of racism and trolling on Twitter which resulted in his Twitter account being shut down.
