Bill Cosby may finally be brought to justice by a jury of his peers this week…after only 6 minutes of additional courtroom action by the defense.
ABC News has reported that the defense has rested its case in the sexual assault trial on Monday, after only 1 witness and 6 minutes of testimony.
The 79 year-old actor told the judge that he had decided not to testify after talking it over with his lawyers.
Cosby’s attorneys attempted to poke holes in the law-enforcement case from 2005, but were soon prevented from continuing with another witness after questioning a detective who had worked on the case.
Andrea Constand, the alleged rape victim, has given startling testimony in which she described being slipped a “mickey” by Cosby and then sexually assaulted while unable to move or resist.
“I felt him take my hand and place it on his penis and move it back and forth…I wanted it to stop,” she told the courtroom. “In my head I was trying to get my hands to move or my legs to move but I was frozen.”
