The four Austrian parents who decided they would indoctrinate their school-age children into becoming ISIS fighters have been put behind bars for 10 years by a judge.
The parents names are not being released, thanks to privacy laws, but the parents spent 5 days in court, where the truth of what they did to their children was revealed. The sick parents showed them horrifying ISIS videos of beheadings, as well as propaganda tapes. Some of the children were even sent into war-torn Syria to see what ISIS was really like. One father began taking his small son to a shooting range and teaching him to shoot in some crazy lessons.
The Daily Mail reports:
The two sets of parents, who have been protected from being identified under draconian privacy laws, have been jailed after they flew their families to the war-ravaged country and forced them to take part in ISIS training sessions.
The trial, which lasted five days at a court in Graz, Austria, revealed how the group had tried to indoctrinate the youngsters into the terror cell, with one dad even allowing his son to fire guns as part of sick ‘training’ sessions.
The group’s 12 children said they were shown execution videos by their parents, who were raising them to hold radical Islamic views.
None of those involved have been named under strict privacy laws in the case which started last Thursday at the court in Graz.
The parents were named only as Enes S, 38, and Michaela S, 39, and married couple Katka, 43, and Hasan O, 49.
The court heard how three couples went with their children from Austria to Turkey and then Syria in December 2014.
Only two of the couples were facing trial this week, with the other couple still being held in Bosnia awaiting trial.
Once in Syria, the men received both Sharia education and combat training. The children were ‘taught’ using execution videos.
One set of parents forced their eight-year-old son to partake in military weapons training for ‘self defence’ which they also joined in on.
One of the victims, aged just nine, described a scene in Raqqa where he saw a group of people and a man with a microphone asking which one of them wanted to cut off the head of the man tied kneeling beside him.
The prosecutor stated that the child did not say the man was ‘killed’, but ‘slaughtered’. That, according to him, is ‘IS-propaganda language’.
The children were allegedly watching ‘slaughter videos’ even while still in Austria. Another child stated that he ‘played taking heads’ with his teddy bear.
One father told the court that even children as young as six started training with replica firearms under ISIS tuition.
Judges heard that some of the five children described the shocking videos as ‘cool’ while others found them ‘gruesome’.
