Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is showing the potential to join the U.S. Democratic Party.
In a speech before the Australian Parliament’s Midwinter Ball, he mocked his recent meeting with President Trump in New York.
According to CNN, the Midwinter Ball is similar to the annual White House Correspondents Dinner, which, by the way, Donald Trump decided not to attend. Perhaps, Turnbull should consider canceling his appearance next year.
Turnbull attempted to sound like Donald Trump:
The Donald and I, we are winning and winning in the polls. We are winning so much! We are winning as we have never won before. We are winning in the polls. We are! Not the fake polls. Not the fake polls. They’re the ones we’re not winning in. We’re winning in the real polls.
Turnbull said he was disappointed that the speech had leaked and said that if he appears again, he will read passages from his “Budget Paper Number 2.”
