The militant hard-Left group ANTIFA has been using violence, and the threat of violence to shut down speeches and debate across the West Coast.
Guess who the New York Times is blaming as responsible?
“Conservatives are eagerly putting themselves” in situations in which ANTIFA can attack, claims an NYT editorial published this week.
The article overlooks that not only is the militant pro-violence group (which horrifyingly includes professors and social workers) responsible for instigating the clashes, but that they are equal-opportunity offenders.
ANTIFA has warred with peaceful liberals as well, preventing at least one planned speech in favor of racial harmony in Portland earlier this week.
Portland’s “Day of Roses” parade was cancelled due to threats from the group.
