Today, U.S. United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley harshly slammed a U.N. report that accuses Israel of being “guilty of the crime of apartheid,” calling the document “anti-Israel propaganda.”
As reported in The Daily Caller, Haley has demanded that the U.N. withdraw the findings.
“The United States is outraged by the report,” Haley wrote in a press statement. “The United Nations secretariat was right to distance itself from this report, but it must go further and withdraw the report altogether.”
U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric (in photo) took a defensive posture, claiming that the report as it stands “does not reflect the views of the secretary-general.”
The study, commissioned by the U.N Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia, states that Israel has maintained a history of “war, annexation and expulsions” which has left the Palestinian people “fragmented” and oppressed in an apartheid state.
