Veteran warrior Earl Granville, who lost part of his leg during a deployment in Afghanistan, carried a woman across the finish line at the Boston Marathon this week.
A video of Granville carrying the exhausted woman as they finish the race together has garnered over 8 million views and counting.
The Army veteran lost part of his leg during his third stint fighting in the Middle East.
Granville ran the Boston Marathon with help of a prosthetic, but managed to help his fellow competitor while brandishing an American flag.
During the race, Granville’s biological leg cramped up several times as medics offered assistance. “It was either keep walking or quit and I wasn’t about to quit,” he said later.
