In an “emergency” YouTube broadcast just minutes after today’s fake news story in the Washington Post was printed, Dilbert creator and noted political analyst Scott Adams told viewers that the story is the “perfect” hoax by a liberal media desperate for Trump’s ouster.
Nobody was in the room except those being accused of sharing classified secrets, Adams pointed out.
The President is unlikely to discuss details about his meeting with the Russian ambassador and foreign minister, and therefore the story cannot be confirmed or refuted in weeks to come.
That makes it a perfect fake news story.
The Washington Post has been a fountainhead of vicious, bitter reporting and false allegations about the Trump campaign and administration since The Donald announced his candidacy in 2015.
Today’s allegation, reported as fact without proof or corroboration other than Democrat-friendly “deep state” operatives not privy to the meeting, claims that Trump gave away highly classified information about ISIS to the Russian government.
