The conservative non-profit Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice for records recounting the 2016 meeting between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton, during the FBI investigation of Hillary Clinton.
The DOJ failed to respond to a June 29th request for a transcript of the meeting, made legally under the Freedom of Information Act.
“The infamous tarmac meeting between President Clinton and (Loretta) Lynch is a vivid example of why many Americans believe the Obama administration’s criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton was rigged,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton told The Daily Caller.
The FBI interviewed Hillary a few days later. Lynch has admitted that the meeting, at which the former President and Lynch have each said they spoke “about grandkids,” cast a cloud of favoritism over the investigation.
