During the Father’s Day weekend more than 50 people in Chicago were shot with at least 13 dead. How is it possible that Lawmakers cannot deal with the rampant gun epidemic that has been destroying communities? And why will no one admit that this is the result of a failure in policy?
As WH Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, said of Mayor Emmanuel’s attitude to protecting illegal criminal migrants: “You can’t be a sanctuary city and at the same time seem to pretend or express concern about law enforcement”. He went further and suggested that this was a situation that they are creating themselves.
Criminals are given short sentences for violent crimes to reduce their chances of deportation (many are given 364 days in prison because 365 would mean they need to be deported), so the criminals do not receive major punishment. They are sent back out on the streets barely chastised. No wonder they think they can get away with murder.
As reported in the Daily Caller:
Chicago experienced a bloody Father’s Day weekend with more than 50 people shot as the city still struggles with its violence.
Two hundred people have been shot in Chicago so far in June with a total of 1,500 people shot since the year started. Total homicides have reached 279.
“It is the investments we make in the neighborhood, it’s the faith we have in the criminal justice system, it is the rank and file police officers,” Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said at a ceremony for the detectives.
