A North Carolina college student was charged with raping a 14-year-old boy, WECT reports.
Police records show that 20-year-old East Carolina University student Taylor Ashton Moseley was charged with statutory rape, statutory sex offense, and indecent liberties with a child.
Surf City Police Chief Ron Shanahan told WECT that Moseley met the teen through a mutual acquaintance and had a sexual relationship with him in May.
The teen’s mother found out and called social services, who contacted the police.
Moseley was booked in lieu of $225,000 bond.
If convicted of all three counts against her, she faces up to 25 years in prison.
