Jill Lamontgane, 29, from Maine has been placed on leave from her teaching job and had a civil protection order filed against her after a student alleged that she was having an affair with him – after he had attempted suicide.
Lamontgane was a Kennebunk High School teacher, when her victim, unnamed due to his age, became depressed and tried to commit suicide.
In the hospital he admitted that Lamontgane had seduced him and the two had sex dozens of times.
The Daily Mail reports:
On Monday, a district court judge ordered the Kennebunk High School teacher to avoid contact with the student for two years because of the sexual abuse complaint, which is under investigation by police.
Lamontgane, who has been married for six years and has two young children, a son and daughter, was placed on administrative leave on June 12, after her student’s family contacted school officials claiming that he had had sexual contact with the teacher, reported the Portland Press Herald.
According to court documents filed by the student’s mother requesting a protection order, her son was hospitalized in Maine Medical Center on June 9 after ingesting a cocktail of medications in a failed attempt to end his life, including ibuprofen, Tylenol, cold medicine and a blood thinner.
The next day, the boy confided in his aunt that he and his teacher, Lamontange, have been involved in a sexual relationship, and that he was ‘so sorry for all the bad things he did’.
Rumors have been swirling about the boy and Lamontagne for some time, but he had previously denied them, according to Journal Tribune.
‘He said he loved her, he said it happened numerous times, in the classroom, at her house, in her car. She told him that she hadn’t had a sexual relationship in two years,’ his mother stated in the court papers.
The student then explained that Lamontange had taken him everywhere to have sex: the car, her house, and she performed oral sex on him numerous times. She told the 17-year-old boy that she had not had a sexual relationship in two years.
He told his parents that he felt guilty for carrying on the affair and didn’t want her to go to prison, however, he felt ‘used’ by his teacher.
Lamontange will likely face prison time for her sexual assault on a minor.
