A shocking new video of tyrannical cops telling a student that he “lost” his “free speech rights” has gone viral. University of Maryland-Baltimore County student Sergio Gutierrez was recording police arresting two other people in the town of Towson when the officers ordered him to stop filming. Even though he continually explained that he had the right to film, the cops refused to listen to him.
The officers in the video initially told Gutierrez that he was hampering their investigation, then that he was diverting their attention when it became clear that their initial logic didn’t hold up. They finally threatened him with arrest if he didn’t stop recording.
But when Gutierrez told them he had freedom of speech, one of the cops told him “you don’t. You just lost it. Walk away and keep your mouth shut.” Another cop then shoved the student and told Gutierrez to “shut your f*cking mouth” before forcing him to leave the area. The student later told reporters that he was glad to be filming the incident because he was convinced the cops would have been behaved even more belligerently without the video evidence. The Baltimore County police department has since launched an investigation into the behavior of the cops.
Earlier this week, a separate video exposing police tyranny showed five police officers killing an innocent man through gross excessive force in trying to restrain and arrest him. Luis Rodriguez, 44, died in an Oklahoma movie theater parking lot after the officers tackled, pepper-sprayed and mercilessly beat him in front of his wife and daughter. The incident came after police in the town of Moore were called to handle a domestic disturbance complaint.
Rodriguez’s wife admitted to slapping their 19-year-old daughter, but made it clear her husband was not involved. But after he refused to cooperate when they wanted to talk to him, the officers tackled him and held him face down on the ground. His wife began to record the incident on her cell phone as the officers continued to hold him down, even after he had stopped speaking or moving. “You killed my husband!” she yelled at the cops as an ambulance arrived at the scene. The death is currently being investigated and three of the officers have been placed on administrative leave.
