A Texas teacher has been charged with having an improper relationship with a student after she gave the eighth-grader a lap dance in the middle of class as his “birthday present.”
According to the court report, a student told the class it was his 15th birthday and the other students encouraged him to sit in a chair at the front of the room. According to reports, Smith then proceeded to play a song and gave him a “full-on contact” lap dance for four minutes.
She then hugged the boy and said “I love you baby, happy birthday.”
According to police, the teacher says the class “persuaded her” to do it and adds she was just “circling the student while he was sitting in the chair and losing her balance a few times which made students laugh.”
According to reports, she “moved back and forth on his crotch and touched him all over his body” and “sank to her knees and put her head between his legs.”
The incident was reportedly caught on a cell phone camera but the video has not been released.
The Aldine Independent School District has released a statement, saying “A criminal charge of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a student has been filed against a Stovall Middle School teacher. The charge was filed by Aldine Independent School District Police, who investigated the case along with the campus administration. The teacher was removed from the campus during the investigation and has not returned. The district takes this allegation seriously and is fully cooperating with prosecutors. The safety and security of our students will continue to be a top priority in Aldine ISD.”
