A young woman in Saudi Arabia was viciously punished for proclaiming Jesus Christ as her savior.
According to a rough translation of the original Saudi report, an official at the girl’s workplace “ordered his men to carry out the process… to sew the mouth of the girl to stop the expression and permission for [her] love for [Jesus Christ], as they are ignorantof the Magi Bedoin herders of camels in the [barren] dessert. [They] sewed her left eye as well as punishment.”
The report goes on to say “This underlines the strange and dangerous… reports [have been ] issued by human rights organizations in the world, and women in particular, of what [they consider] a flagrant violation in the deadly Saudi human rights system.”
The targeting of Christians seems to be rather widespread around the Middle East these days. Earlier this month, a young girl in Egypt was dragged out of her car by Muslim Brotherhood supporters during a protest and beaten to death. According to witnesses, the mob slit the girl’s throat, stabbed her multiple times, and mauled her so bad that parts of her scalp were torn off. These aren’t just vicious hateful crimes, they are absolutely heinous acts.
In March, a Muslim militant group carried out attacks killing over 100 Christians in Nigeria. According to Yakubu Gandu Knut, the head of a local Christian organization, “The unfortunate attack on our communities has led to killing of more than 100 Christians. The wife of one of our pastors, Mrs. Jummai Likita Riku, and her three children, from the ECWA [Evangelical Church Winning All] church, Ugwar Sankwai, were killed in the attack.”
