An armed woman from Michigan was able to successfully defend her family from harm after shooting a crazed teenager intruder who entered her property with a shotgun and machete. The mother, who wished to remain anonymous, said that the masked man made his way onto her front porch in the early morning hours last Friday. He used a machete to scratch the window of her door and try to break in through there.
The woman told WOOD-TV that she pointed her gun at him and he retreated, only to try and enter through the back door. She pointed her gun at him again and police eventually arrived at the scene. The armed intruder threw down his weapons and tried to flee from police, but it was only a few minutes before he was apprehended. Once he was unmasked, it was revealed that the suspect was a 15-year-old man.
Although he described himself as an “ordinance thief,” police are still trying to uncover what his motives were, if any. However, the woman said she was convinced that her gun was what saved her family’s life. “I pointed the gun right at him, and he took a few steps back,” she said. “I felt like I was playing a game with him. He would step up closer to the door, I would raise the gun, and then he would take a step back.”
